Hale County Meals on Wheels is the recipient of a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission.  This allows our organization to deliver meals free of charge to eligible veterans, their spouses, and surviving spouses who are over the age of 65 and who would not otherwise qualify for meal assistance under state programs based solely on age, income and disability.  Veteran verification forms are located under the “Veterans” tab.

This grant through the Texas Veteran’s Commission begins July 1, 2023 and will continue until June 30, 2024.  This program is supported by a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance. The Fund for Veterans’ Assistance provides grants to organizations serving veterans and their families.
